Title: DIR-505 does not let pass UPNP/SMB/Airplay Network Devices
Post by: murratore on October 29, 2012, 02:53:19 PM
Hello

Have installed the DIR-505 in Router/AP Mode. The connection to the router works without problem (also internet connection). But my problem is, that when I connect to the DIR-505 to my network all my other network shares (like smb, upnp and also apple tv airplay) are not "seeable".

I saw this entry in the forum about airplay (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=50598.0 and also https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3846783?start=0&tstart=0) but tried to make this entries. But with no luck (I guess this is because not all options mentioned in the article are available at the DIR-505).

Is there no way that the DIR-505 does let all the traffic let pass as all other normal routers do? I have 3 in my home, and all have no problem with that...

Thanks for an answer.

Have you tried disabling uPnP by chance?

I am able to see SMB shares from my NAS when using the DIR-505.
