Title: DNS-320 & id3 tags on flac
Post by: expa on November 01, 2012, 01:18:31 AM
Hi,
i bought a Pioneer N-50. I would like to play flac. i can, but there is no recognition of id3 tags. Is id3 tag possible? If no, which Nas is your recommodation?

Thanks and best regards

Hi expa, the dns 320 doesn't handle id3 or album art well from my experience.  it has to do with the built in upnp server.

it seems that other brands running Twonky, or Asset will serve better in this aspect.  In my experience Asset is better, but that's me.  Not sure if i can post the brands here but do some googling searching for NAS's that run either of these upnp servers.

cheers and good luck, i'm more or less in the same boat.

D-Link can be made (http://nas-tweaks.net/384/installation-of-twonky-server-7-on-nas-devices/) to run Twonky as well.
