Title: Unable to connect
Post by: iTomTom on November 01, 2012, 05:28:01 PM
Hi,

I recently bought the new NAS DNS-320L and I use macbook pro with ML 10.8.2.
When using the Setup Wizard I cannot see the NAS so I cannot configure this one.

When I write IP Address of the NAS in Safari I can connect to the management page.
But I cannot access DNS 320L in the finder.

Hope someone can help me.

If you want to manually map the DNS-320L on a Mac, you can use the following syntax: smb://[IP_ADDRESS]/Volume_1

You must at least map the IP Address + Volume name.  Mapping just the IP address will get you to the device, but not the storage locations.

Please see the following FAQ entry for mapping a ShareCenter volume as a networked HDD.DNS ShareCenter - Mapping a DNS ShareCenter Device (IP vs. Volume Name) (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41845.0)

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
I can access my NAS with afp://IP_ADRESS instead of smb://[IP_ADDRESS]/Volume_1. But I can't create folder or files.

So I still have troubles.
* I can't see DNS320L with any DLINK's application (SetupWizard and Storage Utility). How can I do ?

* With Web Interface in all menu I have this message "No Volume Storage". But there is disk inside and when I do quick SMART TEST the result is "Pass".
So I think the disk is not in ext3. How can I check and change it if it's not right?

I've found the solution. I use a PC to run DLINK's setup and everything works fine.

Hi All,

I'm newbie here.
I just bought DNS320L but I can't see my device when connected to Dlink ADSL modem router. But, when I use my other brand of ADSL modem router it's working.
