I bought the DIR-655 last year and till within warranty. Yesterday, I lost the wireless network on my laptops but internet was working. I contacted the d-link support and during the process of troubleshooting the problem, the internet connection was also lost. I followed all instructions given to me by d-link teams that spoke with me but the problem was not resolved. I tried to call the d-link support but my calls were ignored . Up till now, the wireless and internet connections through DIR-655 are not working.
I would be glad if this forum could profer solution for these problem.

Try some of the Wireless suggestions?
Is the ISP modem a stand alone modem or running in bridge mode?
Is the 655 handling any PPPoE DSL account info or is it set up for DHCP under Setup/Internet/Manual?
Provide any feedback on the Wireless questions presented?

ISP modem is a stand alone modem.
Yes, 655 was set up for DHCP under Setup/Internet/Manual but during the troubleshooting based on when i called Support @ d-link it was changed to handle PPPoE DSL account.
