Tried uploading the new firmware 1.02 as i have 1.01 , is this firmware region specific?
i'm in canada and it's not upgrading the router , it still 1.01 even after all the reset, upload , resets.

thanks

I presume you are getting the FW from the Canada DLink web site?

What browser are you using to upload the FW?

Are you experiencing problems with the router? Is it working for you?

I don't think the NA region is specific for U.S. or Canada. You could try loading from the U.S. site and see if you get the same problem.

Please use IE to manage the router and FW update.
DO a factory reset, then send the file. It should accept it. if it does, do one more factory reset after.
Turn off ALL other devices accept the one WIRED pc.

After downgrading from v1.03 to v1.02 last night, WiFi and gaming was great. Had one xbox on wired and another on the 5Ghz radio. We had good time. v1.02 seems very stable. I think I'll leave this loaded for a while.  ;)

I've forwarded the v1.03 issue to DLink and hope it will be resolved soon.

Let us know how v1.02 works for you.

When am I going to learn to check the forums first?  I just installed 1.03 from 1.01 to enable an access point conversion...  Pointers on downgrading to 1.02?

Download the v1.02 file from the web site.
Factory reset the router.
Send the v1.02 .bin file using IE please.
Factory reset the router once more.
Configure the router.

Mines currently running in wired AP mode.  ;)

Got it. Thanks, but on resets, though, seems I remember that the D-links don't like the 30-30-30 reset?
If you could point me in the direction of the perferred method of resetting on of these little puppies?  Thanks again in advance.  C.

Please follow this: FW Update Process (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42457.0)
Has worked well for me using it on several other model DLink routers and is all you need.

No need for any 30-30-30 resets.
