Here>DIR-645 v1.03 FW Released (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=51335.0)
Let us know how it works for you.

Verified that Mac OSX SharePort wont connect to a WD My BOOK 2Tb USB drive and trying to set a router IP address of 192.168.7.1 still fails however this version of FW comes from June 2012 and we didn't report this issue till Oct 2012 so hopefully next release of FW will address these 2 issues.

However, I did find one problem, before I upgraded, I saved the last v1.02 configuration to file using OSX Safari. Factory reset the router, upgraded to v1.03, Factory reset the router again and tried to re-apply the v1.02 saved configuration file and received a notice that the file was not either compatible, corrupt or not meant for this particular model router and the upload would not be performed. So I'm having to manually set up the router from scratch again after v1.03 is applied to the router. :-\

I found the same problem with the configuration file not being able to be uploaded. I have started to set up the configuration manually but I wanted to see if there was a fix.
-
Nothing ive see yet. You need to manually configure then resave the config to file once more. Only seems to be affected when using a prior saved version on v1.02 on a router w v1.03 on it.
-
I also had the same problem with the 1.03 firmware not accepting my saved config.bin file from right before the upgrade. I was coming from 1.01. I backed out to the 1.01 firmware and it reloaded the saved config.bin fine. Sounds like I will have to take some screen shots of my config and do the 1.03 upgrade the hard way...

I found a v1.03 FW version at ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/dir645/Firmware/ . Flashed it and it contains a non-standard preset Admin password. So, I am not able to log in and downgrade back. Factory reset doesn't work either. Does someone knows a way out of this?
Thanks!

It's only recommended to use FW files officially posted on the main DLink we site.
Try this? FW Update Process (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42457.0)
USE IE only!
Just send the v1.02 version instead.
It should down grade if you follow the factory reset, send file, factory reset once more process.
Was there a problem with what was previously loaded?

Thanks!!! I have a working router again. There was no problem. I was just looking for a newer FW version, because here in Holland they only offer the v1.01 FW version. Again, thanks for the help :)

Glad you go it working.
Come back and visit if you need any other help.

What region are you located?
Was a factory reset performed both before and after the upgrading?
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8 or 9, set compatibility mode and test again.
How many characters are in your PW? Try 3 characters,> 123 for now and see what happens.

I see someone at DLink modified the v1.03 FW file. It has a 02/25/2013 date on the .bin file. I can't find any info or no release notes included with it. Hope they might have fixed the SharePort and USB drives in Mac OSX. I'll test it out.

I downloaded dir645_FW_103.bin dated 02/25/2013 from the US site and compared it to the older DIR645A1_FW103B11.bin (WW) from the TW site dated 10/09/2012. They are binary identical!
-
Great. Any any minute changes you can tell?
Makes me wonder what they are doing. I've seen this happen before with the DIR-655 however the changes I saw did fix something. :-\
-
As I said, the two files are identical!
-
Ok, I'll do a quick install verification and see if I notice anything. I have some issues that I reported to DLink a while back. I'll see if they are fixed or not.
Thanks for checking sir. ;)

Ok, so I loaded the newer v1.03 yesterday to see if I noticed anything. The date of the FW is different, prior date was June, this newer version reads October. I noticed the .bin file sizes between the prior version and this newer one is different. I didn't get enough time in to check everything however I did check Shareport on Windows and Mac with my 2Tb USB WD My Book. Windows works fine, the Mac is still broke. ::) The FW Update load time now take over 5 minutes(310seconds), I don't remember seeing that before. ???
I'll try and play around with it this weekend some more as I wasn't able to go online with it yet.

This is an old thread however v1.04 is out.
