Title: DNS-320 stream to SAMSUNG ES7005 TV (DNLA)
Post by: Nigge on November 27, 2012, 12:48:10 PM
Hi!

I have been googling around like crazy for the last couple of days after a sollution for this...

I have been using my Samsung Galaxy S2 to stream movies etc from my DNS-320... it works just great.

But now im trying to do the same from my Samsung ES7005 TV.
the DNS-320 appears in the list of units in the tv. (it disapears when i disable the upnp server).
but when i select the DNS-320 on the tv it just says that it contains no video files...
I have tried with loads of video files...and I have tried the same video files from an USB stick to the tv and there it works...
But they are not visible when i try TV->NAS

Has anyone got any suggestions?:)

checked the format? ... ex : if you have movie.mkv it would read from your usb thumb drive but if you try to read same file from NAS your tv wont read it or it wont appear at all... For that you need to rename movie.mkv to --> movie.m2ts.
The problem is not from NAS but Samsung TV decoder ... Hope it helps.

I have tried with loads of formats, from mkv, to avi... But i can try with the m2ts format...
the strange thing is that it isnt able to find any photos or music when I share folders with only jpg-images...

Had a similar problem with my Samsung TV, the DLink NAS was seen, but no video or picture files. I had simply to wait some time until the Samsung found them.

I got a DNS-320L and i bought it to stream to a samsung smart TV - Bluerayplayer (BD-ES6000)

It finds the player but no files whatsoever.

The same Player finds the files when i have them on my computer.

I have no clue what to do and i think the documentation is very poor.
