None of the port forwarding settings are working at all on my router. I have just a couple very simple settings. One of them is just an IP camera.
I input the name, the TCP port, the computer (IP address) and that's it. This works just fine with my other Netgear router, but with this router, NADA. The router has the latest version of the firmware applied. Just applied it.
Hardware version B. Firmware version: 2.10NA.
Is this a bug in this router? If so, then I really need my money back since it is a main function of a router and it should work. Can't return it now, since I bought it several months ago. Never knew port forwarding didn't work because I never needed it until now.
Thanks

I setup VIRTUAL server and that worked. Apparently port forwarding doesn't work on this router. That's a pretty bad/big problem. Very bad Dlink, very bad.
I will be contacting Dlink to have them send me a working router or request a refund.

What region are you located?
Has a Factory Reset been performed? Before and after the FW update? What FW version was previously loaded on the router? Was the version working then?
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems.
Double NAT (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm)
To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged.
If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.
Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1.
Turn off ALL QoS (http://vonage.nmhoy.net/qos.html) or Disable Traffic Shaping (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.
Enable uPnP and Multi-cast Streaming under Advanced/Networking. Disable uPnP for testing Port Forwarding rules.
WAN Port Speed set to Auto or specific speed? Some newer ISP modems support 1000Mb so manually setting to Gb speeds can be supported by the router. Advanced/Advanced Networking/WAN Port Speed.

North America

This has been done many times. Port forwarding also didn't work on the previous firmware. I never spent any time on that issue since it wasn't really needed at that time. Can't flash back to old firmware so does it really matter what was installed before? It had version 2.07 on it previously.

Cable
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
Stand alone modem. Docsis 3.
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
NA

I've already turned off all traffic shaping features and other features that I don't need. Including WISH and all that. I've tried statically configuring my work stations, along with DHCP reservation and still port forwarding not working. From reading the forum here I'm not the only one to experience this problem.

Any status on this? ???
This is a user configuration issue, not a router problem.

Hello.
This sounds similar to my post:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=50150
What we learned in that thread is that port forwarding does NOT work correctly for the DIOR-655, and the only solution is to setup a virtual server.
