Title: Reset to factory settings...
Post by: M3ldgaard on December 04, 2012, 12:10:00 PM
I seem utterly unable to find a clear answer for this, so here goes nothing:

Using the Reset button on the back of my DNS-325, does that in any way affect data on the device or is it merely settings?

The reason for my question:
I recently moved and got a new ISP. As a result I'm unable to access the device, as it it doesn't show up on the network. I figured a reset might be a viable option, but just wanted to be sure that no harm would come to my data.

If anyone has any ideas on a way to solve this, I would be most grateful.

Cheers,

Performing a factory reset should not impact your data or HDD configuration. That said, please read the following post: DNS ShareCenter - Restoring Factory Default Settings (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=51309.0)
