Had my DIR 615 rev A just fail one day spontaneously; managed to bring it back by reflashing from the emergency room, but now it will not hold setting through a power cycle, other than this it seems to be working well. Any ideas?

What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8 or 9, set compatibility mode and test again.
-
Definitely worth a try, but same problem, no matter the browser, or PC

Might have bad FW. I would try to reload, maybe use an older prior version.
-
Tried that also; takes the firmware just fine (old and new), but still the same problem of not saving settings.
-
Not sure...might be hosed. Have you tried loading WRT?
-
A good idea, but unfortunately the DIR 615 Rev A is not supported by dd-wrt
I assume the NVRAM is on the same EEPROM as the firmware

Well, could ask for an RMA from DLink. The 615s are still Live, however I'm not sure if they are supporting ALL Rev's or not.

Good idea, but since I already replaced the main smoothing capacitor (which had failed), I am probably out of luck on that front ;-)

Were there any warranty void stickers? If you did a good job of the repair with out making it look like someone hacked and slashed the router, might give it a go. LOL.
