Is the DIR-825 also given to you by Videotron, I believe it is since the version you posted doesn't correspond to any think DLink officially releases. If this is the case then Videotron is the holder for FW updates and I would direct you to Videotrons support for information regarding FW updates for this router. They are the ones who develop and release FW for this model router to work with there ISP services.
The modem you have is a great modem. I also have and use a SB 6120 modem. Very good series.

I bought mine at Staples - it's also version B1.

Retail versions of the 825 use or should have default DLink FW loaded. There are some units that come from ISPs that have there own FW loaded and is not officially supported by DLink.
-
Mine has 2.02NA loaded. I know it's old but I'm afraid to update it.
-
If it works, don't fix it! Unless your effected by something thats the newer FW fixes, no big reason to update.
-
I understand the "Don't upgrade unless necessary" philosophy.
Still, I went to the DIR-825 support page and the only firmware they list is for the C1 revision. There's nothing for rev B1. Where do I find that?

What it means if your router is working for you and not exhiting and problems, then there is no need to upgrade. The should be left alone. Enjoy it.

Thanks. I downloaded Firmware 2.07 4/04/2012 from the old site.
Now to update or not to update. We'll see.

If your router is working, I would keep whats loaded on it. ::)
Keep us posted.

If you update, make sure you save your settings so you can easily load them after the update rather than set everything up again from scratch.

in some cases depending on how old the FW version is and going to new, sometimes it's best to set up the router from scratch as some things in newer FW can cause older versions of saved configurations to not work any more.
