Do you have a host router that your trying to connect the 505 too?
What make and model is the host router?
What is the ISP service? DSL or Cable?
What make and model is the ISP Modem?

The onboard 505 web page wizard should guide you thru the set up process for using it as a repeater. It should display a list of available Wifi SSID signals that it can connect too. If you select the appropriate one and enter in the password information, it should connect and complete the set up process.

Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N on the host router?
Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
Try setting a manual channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
What security mode are you using on the host router? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.

After running thru the set up process, you might want to turn off the 505 and your connected device, then power on the 505, then the devices and test for a connection.

Set the switch on the DIR-505 to Repeater and plug in the 505 to power.  Wait for its wireless network to come up - look at your phone's list of available connections to see when it is there and then wait one more minute.  The SSID will be of the form dlink-xxxx.  Connect to that using the password printed on the "Configuration Note" card - this information is also printed on a sticker on the DIR-505.

Once the phone is associated, you should then be able to go to http://dlinkrouter or 192.168.0.1 in your phone's web browser and run the Repeater configuration wizard.

im did try using the setup wizard, esp when typing to 192.168.0.1 or dlinkrouter both fail me.. it try to connect but always error on the page. no internet connect.. so i go goggle dlinksetupwizard, it bring me to the orange page. i try use setup tab, internet connection setup wizard, launch internet connection setup wizard. But it shows this wizard doesnt support this emulator, please run the setup wizard came with the divice.

It could'nt connect my router to my DIR-505. i use my phone to search for wifi im able to see any WIFI connection, im able to see  my house connection and dlinkXXXX but i try connect to dlinkXXXX its still fail. meaning no connection.. it keep authenticating. no connection at all..

Please do a factory reset on the DIR-505. While it has power, push a pin or paperclip into the hole between the USB and Ethernet jacks - hold it in until the LED flashes red. Then wait for it to reboot and try again. I have found that this fixes the connectivity problem for me, especially after I have updated the firmware.
