Bought a DNS 320 a couple of week ago, managed to set everything up the way i wanted except the iTunes server. It simply does not work.
I'm using Firmware 2.03 on the DNS320, iTunes 11 running on a Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion.
Any ideas, or i just have to wait for a new firmware version?
Thanks

No takers? Needless to say that i have the iTunes server enabled on the NAS :)

Can't say about 320, but it is known, that iTunes 10 broke the Firefly media server, used also on our DNS-s.

On my DNS-325 iTunes serving was defunct until problem was fixed with latest firmware (1.03).
Now, mine works also with iTunes 11 on Mountain Lion, without a hitch.
Music only!

Yeah.... guess i'll have to just wait for either an iTunes or firmware update.
Cheers m8.

Why music only? How do you get the movies to show up in iTunes for the DNS-325?

You may be waiting indefinitely sadly.

That's because Home Sharing uses Apple's proprietary authentication mechanism. I assume it is sort of iTunes Store login.

I solved this some time ago by enabling multicast on my router btw. What i don't get now is the album artwork, but that's a diferent problem.
Thx for the replies anyway.
