Title: Dir 600 L keep lost connection
Post by: Riswen on December 24, 2012, 11:24:30 AM
I have 3 router in my house. 1 dir 600 L and 2 dir 600. i dont know what happen to my connection always keep disconnect and connected back within time 2-3 sec. the modem from isp connect to my dir 600 L and from dir 600 L connect to 2 dir 600 that is as access point. when i check the isp ping on command pro its so often get RTO and destination unreachable. but its connect again. i mostly using internet for playing game and always stay on 24/7 so when the command prom said RTO and also my game disconnected from server. i call the isp tech support they said signal and everthing is normal. no problem with the connection. any solution for this? and also when im check my log on router it said
1.Port Scan Attack Detect (ip=69.31.136.9) Packet Dropped
2.Per-source ICMP Flood Attack Detect (ip=187.137.51.1) Packet Dropped
3. Per-source ACK Flood Attack Detect (ip=69.31.136.9) Packet Dropped

so the problem on the router or on the isp ?

im from indonesia and sorry if my english is bad and not clearly explain the problem please help me.

You might want to manually set the 600L wifi channel to 11, then set the other 600's to 1 and 6 depending if those channels are open. Use InSSIDer application to find out if anyone else is using those channels.

so the problem is from router setting? not from the isp? ok ill try to put the channel 11 on 600 L and another 600's 1-6. because total i use 5 computer only.

I would factory reset the 600L and start from scratch. Turn off the other 2 600s and make sure you can connect and get the 600L working correctly.

Then set up the 600s using the following:
Turning a router into an AP. (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=40856.0)
Keeping the 600s and the 600L WiFi channels on different channels. So the 600L should be on 11, the other 2 600s use 1 and 6.
