Often half the image is flickering and shifting about 10 to 20% to the right for a few milliseconds, in B&W.
Anyone else have this? (http://sphotos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/74698_545783585432567_1188284083_n.jpg)
Did not happen with previous FW 1.04. I now have FW 1.05.
Will it go away by downgrading FW? or is my camera defect?
And I have A LOT of noise in the video, especially at night. Several horizontal lines at random places. Happens on all my cameras both 930L and the 932Ls.

Just downgraded to FW 1.04. The 1.04 file at tsd.dlink.com.tw/downloads2008detailgo.asp is corrupt and unuseable. Luckily I hadnt deleted the old one from disk.
Well see tonight if it is camera or firmware that does this...
-
I have the same problem with the noise and horizontal linkes at night.
I've downgraded to 1.04 and it's the same.
Did you've got lucky?
Happy new year!

Did you observe the noise/lines before upgrading to v1.05?
-
This is a brand new camera, it had already 1.05 version.
This only appear in low light condition with night vision.
Regards.

The shifting with colors wasnt there before upgrading to 1.05, but it is still there after downgrading back to 1.04. So something bad happenened when upgrading, that doesnt go away again with just downgrading..... The noise with random stripes in the image has beeen there from day one... :(
Anyone with a good idea please....

Did you try performing a factory reset? While the DCS-932L is powered-up, press and hold the recessed reset button on the rear of the device using a paper clip for > 8 seconds.
This procedure will purge all user defined settings from the device.

I only see noise with random horizontal stripes in image.
I did not saw yet any shifting colors.

Same question as I posed to the prior poster. Did you try performing a factory reset of the DCS-932L and installing an earlier firmware version?
-
Not yet.
I'll try that.
-
Try installing the earlier firmware and then perform the factory reset (in that order)

Did that, and some,,
Ok, here is what worked for me, about the color flickering, (not the noise lines - they are still there..)
1: Downgraded to 1.04, no good.
2; Reset to factory settings, no good.
3; Upgraded firmware to 1.05, no good.
4; Factory reset (FW 1.05), configured, and guess what - no color flickering. :) :) :) :) :) :) ??? ::)
Noise lines in night mode still present on all cameras. All 5 of them. :-\ Three 932Ls, and two 930Ls. Should we consider that a "Feature" or an error?
And then there is the falsely advertised framerate...but that is an other thread. >:(
We have a saying in Norway, "Forstå det den som kan.." translates roughly to "Understand it, those who can..."
-
Same here, the horizontal lines still here.
I did not suffer the color flickering...
This is not a nice feature... that really does not help the moving detection...
Regards.

Just found this for others that might search the forums for solving similar problem;

Eset NOD32 can apparently cause color blocks....
FYI

Hello,
I have Essentials Security, so I don't think that's the AV.
Also this (horizontal lines) only happens in very low light conditions...
In daylight the colors are OK.
Thanks.

Thank You, Freeride! I will try that on one of them and see if it still works.
Incredible they didnt do that on the factory! >:( Such an easy fix.!
The 930L and the 932L are not identical, but VERY similar. Can i mod the 930L the same way? Here is the two compared;

Easy fix if you are not afraid to solder. They should of fixed this by now... they should do a new hardware revision.
