Title: Raid 1 Issue DNS 320
Post by: Ali28m on January 02, 2013, 02:49:34 AM
I have recently bought 2 WD 2TB drives and installed them in my DNS 320, both drives are brand new out of the box.

I have formatted them using the DLINK software and they are recognised as standard drives however when I try to them up as Raid 1 when I get to step 3 volume configuration summary no details of the drives are shown.  I can still then go through the process of reformatting the drives etc but when the process completes I have 2x 2tb drives formatted as standard, not Raid 1.

I have tried this several times with no success!

Any info / help is appreciated

Cheers

Ali

For anyone who is interested I have discovered this issue was due to me using safari browser.

Changed to good old reliable firefox and it worked a charm  :D

LOL, didn't expect the choice of web browser will affect the internal working of a NAS!

The browser used to access the web UI impacts some functionality on a number of the D-Link DCS and DIR series as well. Some of the web scripting/code isn't 100% cross compatible on all browser platforms.

Same for me - I had to use Firefox because Chrome and Safari didn't work properly.

This is a really silly bug - please patch it and issue a new firmware, D-Link! :):)
