Hi all,
I have just bought a DNS 325 and this is my configuration:
DNS-325 (firmware 1.02)
1 disk Seagate ST2000DM001 (almost empty)
Ethernet 1Gigabit to PC and 100 Mbit to DLNA Player (LG DB390)
I can move files from PC to NAS very fast; 50GB it took about 20 minutes. But when streaming a MKV (even from the PC through VLC) it is choppy where the bit rate is higher than 18-20 Mbits.
Any help?
Thanks a lot,
Max

Hoe are you streaming to your media player?
I enabled the UPnP AV and my large MKV's were choppy.
I disabled the UPnP and enabled the NFS share and movies work like a charm.

Just to be clear - your way is no streaming but a file sharing. Overhead is obviously less than with UPnP streaming.
