Hello,
I've been using a DGL4300 for several years now with no issues.
About a two weeks ago, my connection began dropping. I tracked it to happen every three hours like clockwork. I have been in contact with my ISP (SBC/ATT) and had my ticket escalated to tier 2 support. They monitored my connection and they are not seeing the connection drop and then reauthorize.
The router has the latest firmware on it. Taking the router out of the equation fixes the issue.
Anybody else seeing this or know how to fix it?
Thank you

PPPoE connection?
Wired or wireless dropping?
You need to be more specific..
-
Whats the MTU set at? Have you tried locking the WAN port speed down?
-
It is on a PPPoE connection.
Both wired and wireless are dropping.
I'd be happy to be more specific, I'm just not sure what to report. Bear with me.
MTU is set at the default of 1492. I have not tried locking it down.
I'm open to suggestions, and willing to try a suggested value.

Try 10 Mbps.

Locked down to 10mbps. Dropped the connection at the 3 hour mark, like clock-work.

Hmm, thats odd. You should disable the wireless and see if it continues.

Are your user name and password set correctly in the PPPoE settings? Is there anything in the log?
