Title: Cannot login to router anymore even after reset
Post by: ferrino11 on January 09, 2013, 07:43:00 PM
Hello there,

Firstly, I like to say Hi to everyone here..I have been using d link routers for a very long time. However, recently I have a problem with one of my dlink router..

Basically I have a Wireless N 150 Home Router (DIR-600 B2). I managed to reset and login to the router at http://192.168.0.1. I tried to made some configuration (disabling DHCP, some stuff, basically I was trying to configure this router as Wireless Repeater to connect to another room downstairs).

So it didn't connect so I do a reset (hold a pen for 20+ seconds at the reset button) and now I cant login to the router at http://192.168.0.1..

So what should I do? :D

PS: Quite new to networking terms. So please guide me slowly. :P

Need to check the networking settings on the one device and make sure it's set up for automatic obtain IP addressing.

Glad you got access using a different PC though.

I found out the reason why.

-Whenever I'm configuring the d link router, I have to switch from one wireless network to another (from the network with internet to the network where the router is in). During the switch, my laptop Wireless Adapter got confused or whatsoever so I have to diagnose the connection to reset the adapter. Another way is to disconnect from the network(with internet) and connect to the network(where the router you're configuring is in).

-There was another incident where Chrome cant login while IE can. All I did was to delete the cache and everything in that Chrome so I could access through chrome.

I think the best way to configure your router is to turn off your Wifi on your laptop, connect the lan cable from your computer to the LAN port of your router and configure from there.

Hope this helps others with the same problem as mine.
