Hi all,
i have a question about accessing shared folders over the WAN-Port of an DIR-615.
For your information: both sides of the network (LAN and WAN) are under my control.
On the WAN-side of the network we have a fileserver with shared files. We can ping the server and reach it and the Websites on this server are also reachable from the LAN-side. But if we try to access to the shared folders the request doesn't reach the server. If we change the router there are no more problems and anything works without problems.
The Router has default-settings except the network-settings so it works in our network. Does this router block outgoing traffic on ports 135-139 and/or 445? And when yes is there any way to disable this? I can't find it.

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.

What region are you located?
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
You might try configuring Virtual Server or PF for and see if you can get this going.
You'll need to disable uPnP under Advanced/Advanced Networking if you configure PF.

Sorry, I don't have physically access to the router at the moment (weekend) so I can't say anything about Firmware- and Hardware version.
There is no ISP. It is a network like this:
network1 (192.168.0.x) <-> DIR-615 <-> network2 (10.3.x.x) <-> Gateway to internet
network 1 is connected on the LAN-Ports of the Router, network2 to the wan-port. Both networks are under my administration and works perfectly except of this problem (and the one in the other post).
The Client from which i want to access is in network 1, the fileserver is in network2.
Because it is an "outgoing" connection port forwarding or virtual server shouldn't help at this place.

This may not work and you might need to have the 615 under the same IP address pool as Network 2.
Having 2 routers and connecting via shares usually can be problematic.
How are you trying to access the shared folders? Try using \\IPaddress of the PC with the share\share folder name?

I try it exactly that why \\10.3.x.x\share
Why shouldn't it work?
The only thing the router has to do is D-NAT to the 10.3.x.x-network. And D-NAT is no problem for the samba- and cifs-protocol.
When i change the DIR-615 with any other router (TP-Link, Belkin, etc.) it works without problems (but for some reasons I have to use the DIR-615).
