I've read something about UPSs on other boards but not still on this one.
Is there an UPS model which can be integrated with the ShareCenter?
I'm searching an UPS which can tell the ShareCenter to shutdown softly when it's battery charge is ending to avoid hard shutdowns of HDs for which I'm really worried.
thx for your help

The compatibility list on the D-Link USA site is not currently available (bad link). The D-Link UK website and D-Link Germany FTP site contain the following list of DNS-320L compatible UPS devices:
- APC - BACK-UPS ES BE500TW
- Tripp-Lite - SMART550USB
- Phoenixtec - A-500Plus
Note: Due to potential hardware differences between models released in different regions, you should wait until the compatibility list for the United States is made available. In the interim, the above models offer you a starting point for product research.

thx Java
as per your knowledge, does the nas interact with the ups doing a soft shutdown in case of power failure or the dlink continues to run until the ups go down too (when batteries are exausts) making the nas interrupt as well as the ups is not installed?

If you look at NAS: System Management->USB Devices there are fields for UPS devices with IP-address. So they communicate. Obviously UPS alerts NAS about electricity outage.

I suggest you test it before concluding about graceful shutdown of OS. My experience on my own DNS-325 was a little different:

thx at all
I will continue to search about 320 integration with UPSs until will found an answer.
I'm pretty sure it is, hoping will not be mandatory the installation of an accessible shell on the nas to make it run.
thx again for your help
