Hi,
Does anyone have experience with regular the Sharecenter regularly disconnecting from the Windows network and other devices using it's Samba shares?
This is becoming more and more regular, daily or twice daily.
1) Windows can no longer connect to the NAS when it tries, diagnostic shows no problem from Windows.
2) Attempted connection to the Web GUI fails due to "You entered an incorrect login name or password. Please try again"
3) I can connect to the NAS by SSH no problem as normal.
4) Holding down the button on the front will not reboot, I need to unplug and restart the server completely.
5) When the NAS disconnects the name/label also changes from my given name "MURFNAS" back to DNS-345 Home, the default. I see this when I do a network device scan on a seperate Android device.
Once I unplug and restart the system everything is back to normal, but this does not last long, I did that last night, watched some films on the server and this morning the server had disconnected again.
Other details - I am running with 4 drives, (1,1,2,3TB)
I have installed the DLINK_DNS345.1.01b09(1.01.0315.2012) beta firmware hoping for an improvement, but the problem persists/recurs.
Can anybody suggest something that could help or be changed to remedy this problem? Please help! :)
Thank you - I was very happy with my DNS-345 up until now...help!!

No responses here unfortunately so I tried some other things after having examined the samba config file by connecting by SSH.
1) I removed all users that had been created (back to default) for all shares
2) I reset all shares to default through the web GUI after unplugging and restarting the NAS.
I have not had the SMB disconnecting, and web GUI incorrect password problems since doing that last night, for the last week I was having this problem each morning.

The above problem has started again.
Do any D-link representatives read these posts? Any help available please??

I'm having a similar issue. Once, even during a large file transfer (ie. a 40+ gig file), I've lost the connection to the DNS-345.
I hope some of the forum moderators look at this post. They seem to be running polls about "fav features" rather than trying address bugs.
