I have the problem that the NFS service becomes unavailable after 1-2 days. Looking at the running processes with top shows that rpc.mountd uses 99% cpu time. After nfs stop/start it works again for some time. I have added a cronjob to restart the NFS every 24hours but this causes other problems with my backup jobs.
