Title: Destroyed It?
Post by: joferder on February 01, 2013, 09:47:29 PM
I was attempting to update my DIR-655 to firmware version DIR655B1_FW210NAB02.  I attempted to do this via wireless, which I now know was a bad idea, but everything seemed to be going well.  I backed up all the settings and then uploaded the firmware file.  It came up with another page that told me to wait 140 seconds (or somewhere in that vicinity), which I did.  Then it went to the next page and it gave me an error.  I left the router go for a little while, but it did absolutely nothing so I reset the router by unplugging it.  This did absolutely nothing.  The power light just flashes orange for a while and then eventually goes steady.  I have tried to log into the router, but the page never loads.  I tried holding down the reset button, but that didn't do anything either (as I expected).

Is there anything that I can try to fix this?  I really don't want to have to go out and buy a new one tomorrow

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try this:

If this fails you'll need to phone contact DLink support for an RMA:
