1) I enabled the checkbox for Enable HTTPS Server and also Graphical Authentication (Captcha) and I can access the web UI from the LAN via both http and https.
2) I also enabled Remote Admin and enabled HTTPS for Remote Admin with the default port of 8181. The filter is on the default of Allow Any.
However when I try to browse to the router from the internet I am unable to connect. The WAN IP is correct since I can ssh into my internal desktop and WakeOnLan also works just fine. However any attempt to browse to the WAN port on port 80, 8080 or 8181 fails.
Has anyone got this to work?

Are you accessing the WAN IP address from a remote site thats out side of your network?
It should work using the WAN IP address the router gets along with :Port number added on the back end of the address inputted into a browser URL.
I recommend disabling CAPTCHA.

Yes of course I was accessing it from an external site.
However I did two things this evening:
1) I changed the router from L2TP to DHCP.
2) I had to reboot the rooter.
Now remote admin is working!!
I think what happened is that I enabled remote admin and I saved the settings, but I did not reboot the router!
It seems that remote admin won't work until the router is rebooted.
However there is a chance it doesn't work with L2TP and now I'm no longer using L2TP it is working!
I can't change back now to test it again. So I'm unsure if the reboot fixed it or disabling L2TP?

Good you got it working.
I do know one thing about this router, it does need to be rebooted after any configuration changes. The changes are stored and wont take effect until the reboot.
I presume it should work on L2TP if the reboot was to happen.
