I upgraded to this latest firmware. Camera is stable and working fine. I'm not sure *exactly* when these items were addressed, but the following Wishlist items appear to be fixed:
- Video - The "Zoom" function in the web UI should magnify the video image from the center of the frame rather than the top left corner
- General - Daylight savings time support
- [Bug] Password - Passwords created that exceed the maximum length (8 characters) are not rejected, only the first 8 characters are accepted (firmware should reject the password and generate an error message)
-
I upgraded eleven cameras without issue.
-
Listen used to work when using IP Cam Viewer on Android, and no longer does, and has not in the last few betas.
-
Can someone who has upgraded to 1.06b04 please test to see if this upgrade addressed the issue of motion detection when switching between night/day modes.
You would just have to set up your camera to send an email when motion is detected, and make sure the Day/Night setting is set to Auto. Then see if you get a false trigger when the lighting changes from daylight to darkness, or darkness to daylight.
Many thanks.

Ever since upgrading to this firmware, every time I start the camera (just in a browser), a prompt appears asking me to run cvcs. What is that? I select cancel and the camera can be accessed as usual. Also, in many instances the camera continues to pull bandwidth even after properly logging out (although it did this prior to the firmware upgrade).

Ever since upgrading to this firmware, every time I plug the camera (configured through wifi), my router goes down and resets. I have a Netgear cg3100 and before this new firmware everything went fine. Can anybody help me?
Thanks

The DCS-932L should have no impact on your router. You may want to save your router settings, reset your router to the factory defaults. You may also want to make sure your DCS-932L network settings are not conflicting with other devices on your network (e.g. static IP address, etc.).
-
I already reset the router and check all devices in the lan. Everything is fine. It happens since firmware upgrade, so itŽs clearly a cam issue.
-
Try reverting to the prior firmware version that worked with your router and see if the problem persists.
-
Ok, iŽll do that. Where can i find older firmware versions. Will the cam let me connect with an older firmware version?

D-Link posted the change log for firmware version 1.06b04:

As per the release notes, one of the more interesting additions is:
- [New Feature] Change IR LED Night to Day switch timing to 7 seconds
From this description, I'm assuming the light level must remain in the night or day range for > 7 seconds before the IR mode is switched on or off. If this interpretation is correct, this time lag should reduce the number of back-and-forth Night Mode flips during dusk, twilight, and cloudy days.

Thank you for this information. I had to do a reset and use the Wizard today and wasted so much time using the CD that came with the camera. Once I downloaded the new Wizard it worked perfectly.

Hi, I bought this camera yesterday and loaded this firmware so I have no previous experiance with it. I get motion detection triggered when the camera shifts to and from nightmode. Is that a "feature" or a bug? ???
Cheers, //J
Edit...
Aah, found a whishlist that contains a request for this,
Night Mode - Option to temporarily disable motion detection during the transition between day/night mode
-
It's neither a feature nor a bug, just the way the camera operates.
