Everything went ok. No problems so far.

My update steps:
1. download the FW (bin) file to your PC
2. set the device in Wi-Fi hotspot mode
3. disconnect PC from internet and connect an ethernet cable from your PC to your 505 router
4. reset your route
5. log in router admin page (http://dlinkrouter) using firefox or chrome
6. go to maintenance and upgrade the firmware using the downloaded bin file

I recommend doing one more reset after the fw has been sent and only using IE or FF.
