Title: DNS-345 - Transmission App
Post by: JavaLawyer on February 14, 2013, 06:28:45 AM
I started testing the Transmission P2P app and it has its pros and cons. On the good side, Transmission works with magnets and seems more flexible in terms of preferences. On the bad side, there are intermittent freezes. The only way to resume a download after a freeze is to disable/enable the app from the Application Management console, but unfortunately the preferences are reset to default when disabling/enabling the app.

Are other DNS-345 users experiencing the same issues?

That's the error that I'm referring to when I said the app freezes. To temporarily fix the issue, you need to go into the Application Manager; disable the Transmission Add-On; enable the Transmission Add-On; re-open Transmission. After following this short procedure, the download should continue where it left off (until the issue recurs...).
