[Bug Fix] Fixed ios6 live view hang issue – modify mjpeg streaming format
Was wondering if mjpeg streaming issue is supposed to be fixed in firmware version 1.05 build 05 ? Or is this fix was for something else?
I tried both 1.05 & 1.06 with my iPhone 4 & iPad 4 running iOS 6 and still looks like it's not working properly.
I am using the URL: http://myip-address.com/video.cgi to see the stream. the stream shows the initial screenshot but does not refresh at all.
No issues on FireFox on my laptop.
thanks.

same issue here, iOS6.1 on iPad2, in Safari and several other browsers
But, myDlink+ works OK
-
glad I am not the only one having issues.
Any idea if this will get fixed at all? It appears to be issues with Apple Safari browser ... ugh!

Was this ever fixed. I have same issue after updating to iOS 9. I was using iOS 6 for years and mjpeg would strange forever. Now I get about 5 sec before it freezes. This is ridiculous.

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
Are you using the mydlink Lite app?
Please detail us how your are streaming video to the iPhone.

Sorry. I should have specified more. This was the only place I could find s similar issue to what I'm having. I'm not using a dlink router. I have a ip video server that uses mjpeg and I view the streams via iPhone or iPad. What's I've found is, any Apple device on newer software, whether on wifi or 3G/4g/lte, will freeze the camera stream after 5-10 sec. I see another forum on the net saying Apple may be blocking mjpeg in their software to prevent overage, but this is driving me nuts. On an iPhone 5 with iOS 6 it never freezes.

Possible that there is an issue with newer iOS versions. Any chancing of testing iOS8?
-
The poster PMd me with log in info and I opened this video on my iPhone 6P with iOS 8.4 and was able to view the video with out any freezing or any problems from work. Video was view for about 3-4 minutes while zoomed in. Possible iOS 9 issue.

Just tried a friends iphone 5S on ios 9, same thing, freezes. Don't know what to do. I called apple, and there were of no help.
Anyone else want to test it for me? Pm me and I'll send you a link to view cam if you are using an iphone or ipad?
EDIT: I made a test account. Everyone try to view this cam and report back what device you are using. It freezes for me on any Apple device with newer firmware after 10 sec.

I've passed this onto D-Link for review. See if we can get another iOS 9 test in the mix. I'll check on updating my iphone this weekend. If I do I'll let you know. Just seems like this is a iOS9 issue in streaming the video data and something gets stuck.
Can you install a different browser on the iOS9 device, there is Opera and Mercury available at the store for free. See if those do the same thing.

Thanks! I've already tried multiple browsers, and most won't display the video due to the java. Mercury did display the video, but same thing happens. After click on a video feed, it freezes after 5-10 seconds.
Also tried a 3 year old Ipad on Ios9, same thing, tried a iphone 5s on ios 9, same thing, and tried 2 Iphone 6 phones on ios9, and ios9.1, same thing. I have a friend on 8.1.1 and he said it froze for him too, He tried multiple times. Hmm. Remember though, I came from ios 6.1. The question is when did apple's bug start? I've tried my dad's phone which is also an iphone, again older software ios 6, and no freezes...

I see that the OP mentioned a bug fix.
Looking back at the release notes of v1.06 I found what I believe they were referencing:
"V1.05_b5
1.Fixed ios6 live view hang issue – modify mjpeg streaming form"
Seems like this was a D-Link issue and not iOS at this time frame. ??? Other issues were fixed as mentioned in the v1.06 release notes.

Yea, I think it's definitely an ios issue. I can watch it all day on ios 6.1 on my iphone 5.
See these links. It's gets a little confusing, but let me know if this sheds any light:

Thanks for the info. This should help D-Link in this review. ;)

This was such a simple thing to do before, and now it doesn't work if you have IOS 9.
I JUST tried my friends Android Galaxy S6 Edge phone and it works flawlessly!!! This just sucks. How am I going to get a company like apple to fix this? I called them and they won't let me talk to any engineer's, they will only relay the message. They won't test my link to try and view the videos and said it's a security risk and they can't open it. Argh.
I wonder if this is something the jailbreak community could fix?

Ok I had someone not located in the same house at the moment connect with there iPad loaded with iOS 9.1 and using Safari, it froze after about 30 seconds. They could refresh the page and video would start streaming again then freeze again after 30 seconds. ::)
-
Yep,. this is a problem.

I've forwarded this onto D-Link for review. You might contact Apple and refer them to this thread for review.
