Title: can't see live video from Internet
Post by: alex2033 on February 26, 2013, 02:14:50 PM
Hello guys!

I can access video feed through MyDlink site
I can acces the configuration webpage and tweak all the setup functions

But when I go to Live Video in the configuration webpage I don't see anything... I need to go to MyDlink site so that I can watch video stream..

When I'm on my local network the Live Video shows ok, it's from the internet where I can't see it

Do you guys know what I'm doing wrong? I would like to access the "Live video" from the configuration page because the video feed is bigger than the one from MyDlink site... Is that possible? ... Would you think is a port forwarding problem? That would be odd for me because I can access the configuration page just fine, but is the Live Video that doesn't show up

Thanks for any feedback

I got it working... I needed it to add the camera's IP address to the DMZ in my router configuration.... Now I can access the Live Video feed over the internet.

I hope this helps for the ones in similar situation

DMZ? Demilatarized Zone? What does that mean in router speak?

DMZ refers to a network segment that's unsecured and open to the Internet vs. the secure segment sitting behind the firewall.

...and yes, the acronym stands for "Demilitarized Zone".

Which streaming video where you trying to access? Are you talking browser based?

Did you have under Setup->Network, UPnP turned on and Port Forwarding enabled, using those ports?
