Hi
I have been searching the forum for hours and couldn't find a solution. My problem started like this. I copied some files from one folder to another. in the middle of it DNS323 freezed and OSX gave me some error messages.
This is my DNS info
Volume Name: Volume_1
Volume Type: RAID 0
Total Hard Drive Capacity: 613011 MB
Used Space: 219433 MB
Unused Space: 393578 MB
Volume Name: Volume_2
Volume Type: JBOD
Total Hard Drive Capacity: 16014 MB
Used Space: 33 MB
Unused Space: 15980 MB
Now
1. I have full access to web login and UI
2. I can see my server through Safari
3. I can see the folders, but can't access the files.
4. I have factory-resetted, changed cables, reseted the router.
5. I have used "scan disk" under tools. Volume 2 is "success" Volume 1 shows "failed"
6. No HD lights are on
anybody ???

Where were the source files located?
What device was going to receive the files?
Were you using the terminal command to do the transfers or were you using the scheduled download option under Applications? The schedule download application may be best.
Please keep us posted.

A couple of questions.
Is Volume_1 really RAID 0 and if so what is the full size of the second disk?
Were the files you were copying in the RAID 0 volume?
I ask these questions because if the RAID 0 volume is damaged you will have a lot of pain trying to get at your files unless you have a tested backup of them - something happens to a RAID 0 volume and your files are lost.

Hi
i will answer each question as much as i can
1. All files are on Volume-1
2. I am trying to get all files to my mac pro that is also connected to same network.
3. No, I am not using any terminal code or application. However i have discovered something. when i connect to 323 via a ftp application (in my case cuteFTP) i can download some files! there are couple files or folder that dont allowed me to copy or go inside. some of them are important to me.
4. I have tried "Fuse" as well but it only sees Volume-2 :(

When you access Volume_1 with cuteFTP, have you checked the user and group ownership values for the folders and files you are not able to access? You do not say if you have root permission when you FTP to Volume_1. If you have root permission and the files are good, you should be able to copy them. If you do not have root permission, the file may be owned by a different user that may be associated with the name of the machine that created the files.
