Hello everyone, I just had to get rid of a bad DIR-825 that I replaced a trusty old DIR-655 with and now I'm back. Anyhow, I can't seem to make the DDNS setting stick in the router. All of the information is correct, but it doesn't seem to want to login. When I click the enable check box, it tries connecting and then greys out and doesn't connect. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
What region are you located?
Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
Has a Factory Reset been performed?
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8 or 9, set compatibility mode and test again.

So sorry, spaced, should've had it in the original post. A2 1.35NA, connected wirelessly when configuring. No factory reset, won't that make it all default? Chrome. IE won't download configuration backups.

I would try a factory reset and yes it will make it all default however you need to see if the router will take and keep the DDNS settings from a clean reset. Was a factory reset performed before and after doing a FW update and setting up the router from scratch?
Seen various problems with Chrome. Try configuring and seeing if the DDNS settings will remain using FF. IE should work for everything though. If it's not downloading configuration files, possible issue with IE configurations maybe or try setting the Compatibility Mode in IE.

I have been running a DIR655 for some time and not been able to get Dynamic DNS to connect. But today I upgraded the firmware to V2.10 and it now works fine with no-ip.org. I haven't tried dyndns or dlinkddns but I would think they would also work ok too.
