Title: DIR 815 Shuts off

my dir 815 turns on but only 4 green lights show up flash once then turns its self of

Is this new and out of the box?
Is it connected to the ISP modem and a PC when this happens? What does it do if you only connect a wired PC to the back of the router and don't connect the router to the ISP modem?
