Title: Some files are not shared
Post by: jabbarcelona on April 06, 2013, 02:46:50 AM
Hello everybody,
I have a DNS-320LW, where I have my video and music shared to all home (TV and multimedia player, and DLNA app for Androis)

In my video folder, i Have some subfolders, and until now, I could see all my files in all my TV or app, but with the Bittoorent client of the DNS320L, I downloaded some chapters of Homeland, and I placed them in a folder called Homeland. The files are AVI format, and I can play them from my PC with DIVX player, but when I go to the TV, or with a DLNA app in mobile, or Share them with DIVX media player to home, they are not showed.
For example, I go to my TV, select DNS-320L, videos, folders and all my olf folders are showed, but not the new one with Homeland chapters. I tried to rename one chaper to H21.avi, and then i Can see it, but then I rename the folder to Homelan, and again, i cannot see the folder shared anywhere, even with the renamed file inside the folder. If I copy one of my old files with any problems in the HHomelan folder, then I can see the folder but inside there is only the old file I had with no problems, whaqt makes me think that there is a problem with the video format of that files, but then why sometimes renaming the file I can see it shared??

I'm a bit worried with the DNS-320L, all that strange issues are very uncomfortable..

I hope somebody can clarify and help me!

it's very annoying, I rename the folder and automatically the files inside are no longer shared.
i copy the files of this folder, to another folder where i don't have problems, and then the file is shared, the same file!!!!

where I can fin a Dlink help with these issues???

You will need to refresh your Upnp server to update the files. I forget exactly where it is, in System management I think and click refresh.

Thank you very much, but I think this is not the problem.
I noticed that When I copy any video from my PC to the DNS-320L automatically this video is shared, but when I move any video using the configuration webpage of the DNS-320L, automatically that video is not shared.
So, when I download anything with the bittorrent client, the files are not shared. If I move them to the Pc and back again to the NAS, then they are shared.
