Title: Where's my recovery share?
Post by: gnet158 on April 10, 2013, 01:34:22 PM
Ok, my new WD RED 3TB drives came in, I removed my original 1TB hard drives, popped the new ones in.  The wizard started, configured RAID, and then it formatted both drives.  All is good, I can access the vol 1 share just fine, but I can't get to my "recovery share"?  I don't remember enabling this last time, and can't see to figure out how to do it again.  Any help would be great.

The second volume in a RAID-1 array is not viewable as a mapped logical volume.  You can view the status and health of the volume through the web UI.

Hmmm, here's the thing.  Prior to me changing drives, I had a drive mapped in Windows 7 that was the recovery share.  Meaning when I would delete anything from the vol1 share it wasn't really gone, the deleted files would be gone from the vol1 share but always appear in the "recovery share".  I would then have to delete them from the recovery share to actually remove them.

This was before I upgrade firmware so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it.  It was a neat feature.  Anyone know how to get that feature back?

Here's what I'm looking for.  It was posted by you too.
