Title: How to connect DNS-320 directly to PC via an ethernet hub?
Post by: westwoods2003 on April 24, 2013, 07:56:45 PM
Hello guys,

I want to connect DNS-320 to my PC without going though any router. I don't have a crossover cable so I tried to connect the DNS-320 to my PC via an ethernet hub. However, I couldn't see the device in my computer. What should I do to be able to access DNS-320 by this way?

BTW, my OS is windows 8.

Thanks!

IIRC, cross-over cable is not require, just need to assign static IP address to your PC. The default static IP for DNS-320 is 192.168.0.32 if no DHCP server is found, so need to set PC to the same subnet.
