Title: Remote Camera Question
Post by: dennisoates on May 12, 2013, 06:26:49 AM
I have two Dlink cameras set up in Florida,  and I am trying to view them from Michigan. The cameras have lost the signal from the Dlink router. I want to hard wire these two cameras directly to the router.

The question is, am I able to get these running by just plugging them into the router, there is not a computer at that location, only the router?

thanks
Dennis

Yes, the cameras should work just fine with wired Ethernet connection to the router. I have a similar situation with one of my cameras and I have also disabled the WLAN operation from the settings menu (my camera is different model though, i.e. DCS-2132L, but I believe that the same option is available also with 930L).
