I noticed that no matter what URL I put for a website using HTTPS such as Facebook : www.facebook.com, facebook.com or https://www.facebook.com, it won't have any effect.
Any solution to this problem ?

Another simple solution is to go into your browser settings and turn off all SSL protocols.
In IE its under Internet Options, Advanced tab, Security, uncheck SSL versions.
In Firefox its Under Options, Advanced, Encryption, then turn off the SSL protocols.
This will confound most casual users, but for more advanced users you would probably have to resort to using the local policy editor, and that's something I wouldn't feel comfortable advising anyone to get into unless they know exactly what they're doing.

One adverse effect of turning OFF SSL is that if SSL is needed for banking and online transactions, this will probably cause problems in this area and would no be recommended to do fur the average user.
