I have 2 DIR-655 that provide me complete wireless access in my home. I converted one of them to a bridged wireless access point by turning off the DHCP and connecting it via cat 5 cable to each other.
Now I want to access that bridged 655 device to update the Firmware and/or change some settings. (I have a Galaxy 4 that has an unstable WiFi connection like everybody else)
How do I get access to that bridged 655? I can look on the primary DHCP 655 configuration screens and see the address for it but I don't know how to get the configuration screen for the bridged 655.
There must be a simple way...but I can't figure it out.
Thanks

Bridge Mode vs Relay vs Acess Point: Bridge Mode vs Relay vs Acess Point (AP) / Routers vs Dedicated Acess Points (AP) (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=50738.0)
If you have the one 655 in wired AP mode then what ever IP address you gave it will be the new IP address that you can access that units web page. When setting up these in Wired AP mode, you had to have changed the routers IP address from 192.168.0.1 to something else like 192.168.0.50 would be ideal.
What HW version are these units?

Hardware A4 Firmware 1.35NA
I don't remember for sure but I think it might be the first one below. But how do I access it? (typing that address into the browser doesn't work)
IP Address Name (if any) MAC
192.168.0.100 00:24:af:98:af:1d
192.168.0.190 R8K46HV f0:de:f1:3c:55:ee
192.168.0.191 DELL510 00:13:72:d0:34:0a
192.168.0.192 CYBERPOWERI7 48:5b:39:14:51:4e
192.168.0.196 android-bd022038ca277fe5 cc:3a:61:08:5c:72
192.168.0.197 R8K46HV 58:94:6b:99:8c:6c

Just type the IP address into a web browser is all, it should display the web page if it's the correct IP address.

Tried that and nothing...it comes back to "could not connect" to that address. Any other suggestions?
I recognize all of the other devices.
Or should I do a reset and start over (and then reconfigure the bridged device again)?

Lets be sure that if your using the 655 as a extra AP with a wried connection that it's called wried "AP" access point mode, not bridged mode. Bridge means there is no wire connection needed between the main host router and the connecting wireless "bridge" device. ;)
Yes, I would start over and follow this:
Turning a router into an AP. (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=40856.0)
Set up a new router IP address that changes the default from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.50.

OK...I will try that this weekend. Do you know if there is a D-LINK fix for the Samsung Galaxy 4 issue or will that be coming from the Samsung?
Thanks

Try using WPA or WPA2, TPIK Only and 20Mhz only and see if this helps. If not, then you'll need to refer to Samsung for help on that.
