Title: HHD Spin Down

Hey All! I can not seem to get my WD 500gb (WD5000AAKS-00D2) to spin down at all. I am not sure if it is the new firmware or the new drive that I have put in it. When I first got it and it had 1.00 on it I had a segate that worked properly. Since then I have upgraded the drive to the WD and put on version 1.01. It no longer spins down. Would mapping the drive in windows have any effect on this?

Try resetting the unit to Factory defaults and reconfigure the unit if you have not done this after updating the firmware to 1.01.
