Title: DIR-655 and DAP-1522 (bridge mode) issues
Post by: grishnak on June 05, 2013, 12:27:31 PM
Hi,

I am having issues with my DIR-655 (HW v.B1) and DAP-1522 (HW v.A2) as a wireless bridge at home. I have had this configuration for several years without any issues.

However, some months ago the DIR-655 started to fail, freeze and restart itself at random situations. After several troubleshoot attempts and consulting with others, I decided to get a new DIR-655 (HW v. A4).

Using the same configuration (as far as I can remember) as before, I can't access the internet with a PC via cable through the DAP-1522. I have looked through other issues people have with these two units and have tried to test various suggestions given to them.

I know I can get the DAP-1522 to connect to the DIR-655. I know this since besides seeing this in the Wireless Status of both units, when I connect a PC via cable to the DAP-1522 I can access the admin interface of the DIR-655. However, as I mentioned - I can't access the internet.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Router and Wired Configurations
Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router.

3rd Party Security Software Configurations

I think there was talk of Rev A DAPs not working correctly with Rev B routers. Or vice versa. Something to do with the Draft N and Certified N not being compatible.
