Hi, I decided to get this camera and am having trouble getting it to send email.
I have configured a servertype of email and properly filled in the fields for my isp's smtp settings but when I go to test it it just returns "Test Error".
I have tried both my roadrunner email and my yahoo account and they both fail with no description message in the log to help point me towards what the problem is.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I might be doing wrong?
Also, anytime I change settings on the camera, I usually have to do it twice before they "stick" and it remembers them. Any thoughts on that?
I am on fw 1.01.03 and on an imac with mountain lion and using safari.
Thanks for any help you can give me,
Bill

Can you provide some details on what you've filled out? You can change the details (e.g. account name) but what fields did you enter and what did you put in them?

I am having the same problem, did you find a solution?

In the past I have not had problems sending email. With the Heartbleed bug I decided to change my yahoo mail password and now can't get yahoo to send mail through the camera. The ONLY setting I changed was the password. I even tried setting a simple alpha numeric password and it won't go.
My settings:
Sender email address xxx@yahoo.com
Recipient email address xxx@gmail.com
Server address smtp.mail.yahoo.com
User name xxxxxxx
Password xxxxxxx
Port 587
This server requires a secure connection (StartTLS) YES (Checked)

I just tried a few things without any success:
Restore to factory default.
Reload firmware.
After doing each of these I went straight in to configure the email settings to do a test without changing anything else.

Well I finally got it working again but have no idea why it's doing what it's doing. I tried using my Time Warner Cable email account (had to set it up because I've never used it). That ended up working (had to use port 587 and NO check mark on StartTLS). This was all working earlier on yahoo before I changed my password. And yes I'm 100% positive the password is being entered correctly.

Figured it out and yes of course it's operator error. I turned on two step verification in yahoo and when you do that you have to create a special password for third party apps. Same with my Google account.
