Title: Crontabs get refreshed periodically
Post by: david.rio on June 10, 2013, 12:52:32 AM
Hello,

I have installed fun_plug 0.7 on my Dlink DNS-320L running firmware 1.02.
I use fun_plug to extend the backup capabilities of the built-in firmware.

To automate backup tasks -> cron tasks
To recover cron file after reboot, I have a script that add my own tasks in cron on startup.

Everything works well. But.... surprisingly I observe that /var/spool/cron/crontabs/root is rebuilt periodically by the NAS, even if no reboot happened. So I loose all my cron tasks.

Anybody faced this issue and knows a workaround ?

David

I have the same problem on DNS-320B1 - after some hours crontab is reseting all jobs, so I loose my entries.

I use this to keep my cron-jobs: http://nas-tweaks.net/431/uwcron-cron-for-the-fun_plug/ (http://nas-tweaks.net/431/uwcron-cron-for-the-fun_plug/)
