Title: Webdav with Win7
Post by: JuLx64 on June 12, 2013, 07:47:55 AM
Hi everyone,

I was using Webdav with this device without any problem with Windows XP, but now I have a PC with Windows 7 and Windows 8, and none of them will allow a connection, I can't get past the login screen.

Has anyone a clue about what could be wrong ?

which login screen? Can you successfully reach your share?

Double check your username and password you created under Management -> Account Management -> Users/Groups

The Windows login screen. And yes I have checked everything, when the share path is not correct I get another error, not the login screen.

Can you please post a screen shot of the error?

Here's the error message after 3 unsuccessfull login attemps, if it can be of any help... Basically this translates to Connexion to the network drive failed because of the following error : system cannot access file.

And yes, I have no problem accessing the shares on the local network, just not using Webdav. And that's just since I use Windows 7/8, previously it worked fine with Windows XP.

Try configuring a new WebDAV share that does not require a password, and see if you can connect as a guest

There is no "guest" account, and when I create a new account a password is required.
