Title: VideoQuality on Android App very LOW:(320x176&HD button missing)
Post by: dcs5222l on July 12, 2013, 09:43:02 AM
Hi

I have managed to setup the DCS 5222L and can access it from the Web browser ("acceptable" videostream), but using "myDlink" or "myDlink+" App on my Android Devices (Samsung S3 & Samsung TAB) the video is only 320x176, MJPEG and about 10pfs.

You can select 640x352 as Profile 4 (Mobile devices) in the Advance settings when logging into the camera.
Tried also both H.264 and MPEG4, changed bitrate but nothing changes the Videostrem in myDlink from 320x176

In the Google Play Store myDlink page you can see that the myDlink Android app should have a HQ button.

Is there any more settings to change to get 640x352 on the Android phone?

/BR

On my Galaxy Tab 10.1  (Android 3.x), I get 640x352, 5 fps, mjpeg.
mydlinklite v 2.5.1
No HD option.

Well, I just changed profile 3 to 1280x720 and now I get HD.  still no HD button.

Thanks for the reply  :D

Funny, when changing profile 3 to "your" settings I get also 1280x720,mjpeg in mydlinklite.
+ did a portforwarding on the router

Seems like profile 4 is obsolete for mobile devices(or Bug?)
