Title: UPnP: Album art and track number fix?
Post by: humbertron on July 16, 2013, 01:33:14 PM
Hello people,

I have my new dns325 up and running so I thought I'd have a poke around on here!

I am disappointed that it does not fully support dnla/upnp as the specification led me to believe it does - the absence of album art and track numbers are the main problem for me. I have tried various renderers such as BubbleUPnP and MediaHouse on my android tablet to stream music to my HiFi gear.

Now I know it has been discussed previously on here as I have done a search, but please can someone explain in basic layman's terms why I have these problems and what can be done to fix it?

Ideally d-link should fix this in a firmware update (i have seen the wishlist) but that may take a long time.

The twonky media modification seems a little beyond my capability and not sure if this is the best way of going about it anyway.

The other nas I was going to buy was a WD my book live duo, and this works fine with all music file metadata.... Too late for me to know this now though!

I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!
