Hi together !
currently I´m one step before the decission to throw everything away ;D - I´m loosing nerves in assigning my DAP-2553 Access Point a Dynamic IP Adress via DHCP and it doesn´t work.
PLEASE HELP me, I will describe my problem in detail:
The DAP is not new, but it has been set to it´s factory defaults and it´s latest firmware is also running in it.
I´ve to change the default static IP which is 192.168.50 to dynamic IP.
Here it starts - HOME SCREEN

then I go to BASIC SETTINGS > LAN

after this I change the mode to DYNAMIC via drop down

static IP freeces, mode has been set to DYNAMIC, next step is CONFIGURATION > SAVE AND ACTIVATE

..a reboot is necessary

thereafter the device has got it´s new dynamic IP "192.168.100.250" from the DHCP server, this is apoved because I had to change the IP in the URL to reconnect to it...
(http://www.bilder-upload.eu/thumb/91a069-1374091513.png) (http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=91a069-1374091513.png)
and all other network information was delivered as well
(http://www.bilder-upload.eu/thumb/96d5fa-1374091695.png) (http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=96d5fa-1374091695.png)
so far so good - if i now RESTART or POWER DOWN the device, the IP is automatically set back to factory default 192.168.0.50.
I´ve tryed it many times, with an other DAP-2553 as well, also with chrome or IE9 - same result.
Can you tell me my mistake please? Or what should I do??
Thank you !
Stefan

Is this DAP connected to a main host router. Can you connect it to a main host router and see if the DAP can pass thru a DHCP IP address from the main host router?
-
This DAP is connected to a windows servér 2008r2 domain controller with a DHCP role, the main router is just for the internet connection. The DAP receives its reserved dynamic ip proper, i see a valid lease in the dhcp server

What region are you located?
What FW version is currently loaded?

FW: 1.27
Location: Austria

Ok, I seems you have the latest FW.
I'll recommend that you phone contact D-Link support and ask for level 2 or higher support and see if this can be resolved.
