Hello,
maybe somebody can help with with this problem with my DIR645...
I'm running OSX (latest version) and I want to connect a seagate USB HD via the router. I have downloaded the latest share port plus and installed it. Der software recognises the HD, but when I want to mount it, it always comes back with the message "There was a problem connecting to the server "DIR-645". The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.
Does anybody have that problem and know how to solve it?
Thanks!!

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41537.0)
- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What size drive are you connecting?
Is the drive being seen by the router on the routers web page?
Can it me mapped using the following?
smb:\\192.168.0.1\usb_A1 for Mac to connect to the drive with out having to use the Shareport application.

Hi, many thanks for the response.
I was able to connect to the drive using the smb:\\192.168.0.1 address by using 'connect to server' in finder. This is much easier anyways...
Thanks for the help!
