Title: dir-655 problem

I recently bought a Dir 655 and I need to make a network that is visible from the outside. with my old router that wasn't to difficult. Can you please help me?

If you mean from the outside of your house put it in a window

even then, wireless routers really have no problem getting their signal outside the house

I have a problem with blue light, when connected green the cable dsl modem works with great ease.  However when dsl cable goes out, blue and green light extinguished.  Maybe flux capacitor bad?

well... My internet provider gives me a static IP and a class of IP addresses and I need to route that class. I need to make the IP addresses within that class to be visible from any computer on the internet. For example.. I have a mail server that must use an IP from that class, a portal, i have to access some computer remotely, etc. Does anyone know how can i do that?

Lets start with the basics,  what type of device (name, etc.) did the provider give you that makes your Internet connection?  If you have a static address and a range of addresses to use they most likely gave you some brand of a router to make your connection to.

No...they didn't gave me any brand... I've discussed with them the problem and they said that the router shouldn't matter.  Using the support i got to the conclusion that it is the router's firewall that stops my attempts to reach one of those ip addresses from outside the network... It can't have anything to do with brands... I have no problem in setting up my network... The internet work perfectly on each computer that uses an ip from that class( the one I need to route). The only problem is that the ip's aren't visible from outside of the network...

Its hard to help when you won't give specific answers to questions.  You must have some device that you connect to the outside with, all I'm asking is what is that device?  It's hard to troubleshoot when not knowing the information and type of setup.

Ok, what i'm thinking is that the OP is leasing Dynamic addresses and want's those addresses accessible from remote locations. What you need then, is a switch.
