Title: Password no longer accepted
Post by: N2rock on July 22, 2013, 11:00:52 AM
So yesterday I logged in and saved the config file (whatever its called). I did this in preparation of switching from DSL to cable today- I wanted to make sure I could get the router back to previous settings if I choose to go back to DSL.

I had previously changed the router's password, and have it written down on the router. The password worked perfectly yesterday when I logged in.

Today I had the Internet switch done. I then called in and had them change the gateway to bridge., which they did. I then went to login to the router to switch it over to cable settings, and my password won't work. I'm at a loss.

Can I do a reset, and then load the file I saved yesterday?

Try just entering in the routers web page with out inputing the PW?

What browser are you using?

False alarm. I rebooted the computer, and then the password worked fine
